Recipes, crochet patterns, books and more we’re loving right now!

Spring is (almost) here, and, in this transitional season, we’re focusing on a few things we’re loving right now. From recipes to meaningful gifts, here are a few things we couldn’t do without right now.
Real Food Whole Life
Eating healthfully without spending hours in the kitchen or forfeiting flavor is important to us. Plus, there are those days, like it or not, when you’re running from work to something else—a kid’s baseball practice, a meeting or class, or wherever you need to be—and in order to eat a healthy meal, you need something you can plate up in minutes. For us, slow cooker/crock pot meals from Robin at Real Food Whole Life have been a lifesaver. Recipes we love include Robin’s stuffed pepper soup and cilantro lime chicken. Learn more.
Daisy Farm Crafts
Our founder, Mandy Crow, recently took up crocheting and has been slowly teaching herself new stitches. One of her favorite places to find new ideas and patterns is Daisy Farm Crafts. Tiffany (and several members of her family) runs the site and shares beautiful, modern crochet patterns that are fun (and not too difficult) to make. If you’re into crocheting, give Daisy Farm Crafts a try!
CSB Scripture Notebooks
We’re a big fan of tools that we think will help you engage with Scripture more deeply, and Holman Bible Publisher’s CSB Scripture Notebooks have been a great find for us. You can buy a whole New or Old Testament set, but you can also buy notebooks individually, which is great if your church is studying a particular book of the Bible or your pastor is preaching book-based sermon series. Each notebook combines the Scripture text with journaling space, giving you space to record sermon notes or observations from your own Bible study or outline lessons or record research. We love using them in our own personal study and think these notebooks will be great resources for future Scripture reading plans here at The Bookery. Learn more.

Penguin Clothbound Classics Series
Penguin’s Clothbound Classics Series feature some of your favorite classic novels bound in cloth with intricate foil-stamped designs. All of Jane Austen’s novels are available and you can get a boxed set of the Bronte sisters’ work or favorites like Little Women or Treasure Island. The patterns are beautiful, making these books a lovely addition to your shelf. Get your favorites!
Emily Lex Truth for Today Cards
These beautiful little illustrated cards are one of our favorite gifts for friends and family, especially when we know that person needs a little encouragement. Lex, a watercolor artist, combines her beautifully simple illustrations with Scripture verses that can be displayed in your home as a daily reminder. Each set includes 31 4x4-inch cards, and Lex now has several sets, including the original Truth for Today set, one for kids, another focused on the Psalms and one centered on hope. The cards are beautiful and can be used as gift tags, notes or just daily or weekly memory verses. Check them out!
