Journal or prayer prompts to help you reflect on and rest in God’s faithfulness
To savor means to find delight in or enjoy to the fullest. So as we continue to delve into our summer theme, we’re challenging ourselves (and you!) to savor God’s faithfulness.

Life is busy, but hit pause for just a few minutes and consider these journaling prompts that invite you to meditate on God’s faithfulness and specific ways you’ve experienced it. Maybe journaling isn’t your thing, but meditating on these prompts as you pray (while you’re folding laundry, washing dishes or walking the dog) can be a powerful way to delight in God’s character.
List examples of God’s faithfulness in Scripture.
List examples of God’s faithfulness in your own life or in the lives of those you love.
What does it mean, practically in your day-to-day life, that God is faithful?
What is your definition of faithfulness? How has God lived that out in your life?
What Scripture passages or verses invite me to meditate or dwell on God’s faithfulness?
What is weighing on your heart today? (Ask God to display his faithfulness in these situations.)
What are some things you want to praise God for? (How has he shown his faithfulness in these things?)
How is God calling you to walk in obedience with him? How have you seen him faithfully provide for you when you step out in obedience?
How would fully resting in God’s faithfulness change the way you approach your day? Your job? Your family?
We hope these prompts help you to delight in God’s faithfulness in new and different ways. To close, here are a few verses about God’s faithfulness to mull over:
Lamentations 3:22-23 (NLT)
The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
His mercies never cease.
Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning.
2 Timothy 2:11-13 (NLT)
This is a trustworthy saying:
If we die with him,
we will also live with him.
If we endure hardship,
we will reign with him.
If we deny him,
he will deny us.
If we are unfaithful,
he remains faithful,
for he cannot deny who he is.
1 John 1:9 (NLT)
But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.
2 Thessalonians 3:3 (NLT)
But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.
Psalm 36:5-7 (NLT)
Your unfailing love, O Lord, is as vast as the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds.
Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains,
your justice like the ocean depths.
You care for people and animals alike, O Lord.
How precious is your unfailing love, O God!
