Prayer for today

Father God, Holy One, I believe, Your will be done. Help me, Father, to be a woman of grace and mercy today. Help me to be patient in the midst of stress, kind in the face of disappointment. Lord, help me to take my eyes off myself and see the needs in others. Help me not to be self-righteous or cruel. Help me to be the woman you created me to be.

Thank you for another opportunity to do your work. Thank you for the honor of that. It’s a wonder to me that you still choose me—thankless, self-important me—to be a vessel through which you work. You are an awesome God. Thank you for your faithful love. Help me to show it to those around me today. Help me to trust that your will is best and to be patient in the waiting. Guide me and open my eyes to your leading. I praise you, the God of creation, the one who made the heavens and the earth. I praise you, Father, because you don’t forget me or think I’m unimportant. And you know me, personally, deeply, and still love me. You are the God who knows my dreams, the one who knows my name. You are holy. I praise you, Lord, because you deserve it. I love you, Lord.
