Pause
Today is Christmas Eve and the fourth Sunday of Advent. As we worship and pray today, let us pause to meditate on the many reasons we have to praise God. During this season, we have focused our hearts and minds on the truth of why Jesus came and what his sojourn here on earth accomplished. He has done all that is necessary to save us and make our relationship right with the Father! All praise and glory to his name.
In the excitement and joy of Christmas Eve, turn once again to the familiar words of the ancient hymn that has guided our study this Advent, “O Savior of Our Fallen Race.” This week, we’ll focus on reasons Jesus is worthy of our praise. To prepare your heart and mind, listen to your favorite version of “O Savior of Our Fallen Race” as you mull over the fourth and final verse.
O Savior of our fallen race,
The world will see Your radiant face
For You who came to us before
Will come again and all restore.
Let songs of praise Your name adorn,
O Christ, Redeemer, virgin-born
Whom with the Father we adore
And Holy Spirit evermore. Alleluia!
