Read Luke 2:25-38 again. You read it earlier in the reading plan, but, trust me, it’s worth reading one more time! Meditate on what you’ve read:
What do these verses reveal about Jesus, his character and why he came?
What do I learn about true worship from this passage?
Simeon and Anna celebrated and praised God for his faithfulness. How has he shown himself faithful to you over the years? This month? Today?
Journal
“Now I am deeply discouraged, but I will remember you,” the psalmist declared in his own song of praise in Psalm 42:6, “even from distant Mount Hermon, the source of the Jordan, from the land of Mount Mizar.” In other words, when I feel discouraged, I remember who you are and what you’ve done. Today, praise God for specific ways he has proven his faithfulness to you over the years, expressing your belief and trust that he will do it again.
