Lent 2022: An Overview

All the Broken Things, The Bookery's 2022 Lenten reading plan, starts on March 2. The reading plan stretches from Ash Wednesday to Easter Sunday and examines Jesus' interactions with people—outcasts and sinners, religious hypocrites, the sick, those in mourning—throughout the His earthly ministry. By studying these interactions, we begin to see how Jesus entered into our brokenness in order to redeem it.

At The Bookery, our desire is to help people engage with Scripture—and we know that may look different for different people. Devotions will be published daily here at The Bookery throughout the Lenten season, but you can also purchase the reading plan in Kindle and paperback formats if that would make it easier to follow the plan. Stop by The Bookery and follow us on Facebook during the Lenten season to join the conversation with other readers.

Each devotion in All the Broken Things will follow the same format. The devotions will begin with a section called Pause, which will invite you to prepare your heart and mind to study God's Word. The next section, Read & Journal, will guide you to examine a particular Scripture passage and journal about it, while the final section, Ponder, will provide greater context. On Sundays, we will focus on Scripture memorization as we mark these "mini-Easters" on our way to Resurrection Sunday.
