I’m an aunt, well, almost!

My best friend Dawn e-mailed me while I was in Birmingham to tell me something super exciting—she’s going to have a baby. Baby Smathers will make his/her much-awaited appearance around August 30, 2006. I cannot wait! I’m going to start submitting names as soon as I come up with some. Sammie Smathers, anyone?

I am seriously very excited for Dawn and her husband, Daniel. They truly deserve something wonderful, like a baby, to come into their lives. Is it overkill to start planning a trip to see the baby?
