Advent Day 28: The Light of Peace

”But Mary was treasuring up all these things in her heart and meditating on them.” —Luke 2:19

In the aftermath of Jesus’ birth—the long trip to Bethlehem, Jesus’ birth in the stable, the shepherds and angels’ exultation—Mary pondered these things. She thought them over, focused her mind on them and reflected.

Today, on Christmas, take some time to mull over the prophecies and truths you’ve read and pondered throughout this Advent reading plan— whatever that looks like for you. For some, that may include journaling, while others love a long walk or run to be alone with your thoughts. Spend some time simply dwelling on, praying about and meditating on God’s Word and how He has used it to teach, challenge and change you this week.
