6 more days. . .

Six days until Russia! Today the news came that I have to be at the church at 6:30 a.m. next Wednesday to pack up and head for Atlanta. We’ll be flying out of there around 4 or 4:30 p.m., landing for a layover in Frankfurt, Germany, then back in the air again and heading for Moscow, Russia. Once in Moscow, my group will board a plane bound for Sochi, Russia, a resort town on the Black Sea. It’s bound to be a frustrating, tiring, exhilarating experience I’ll never forget!

Today, pray for the missionaries we will be working with and the people we’ll be meeting while we’re there. Pray especially for the team going to Ivananov, a city in Russia where doors are closing rapidly to religious groups. Pray for me as I set out to get a lot of work done and strive to get everything together that I need. . .in these few short days before I go. Anyone know how to switch the voltage on my travel hairdryer? What about where to buy an international calling card? So much to do, so little time!
